The grand cru vineyards of Burgundy, and prime areas of
the northern Rhône and Bordeaux, are undeniable proof
that some vineyards have a higher quality potential than others.
Nurturing these wines, and bottling them as separate cuvées,
is the sine qua non of wine. While we are still in the very
formative stages of this selection process at Cloof, there
are some parcels that we've identified for our reserve range,
labelled simply Cloof.

Also barrel-aged, and showing the warm
friendliness so characteristic of the products of our beloved
bush vines, is the Cloof Bush Vines series, which is our
mid-range tier.
|
Our extreme growing conditions, combined with winemaker
Christopher van Dieren's ongoing experimentation sometimes
result in wines that have to walk their own path outside the
mainstream.
Sometimes off-the-wall, defintely potent ... these are the
Cloof Cellar Blend wines. |
